Packing...

It's Saturday. Outside it's sunny I can see an aeroplane flying a banner over Emirates Stadium (1-0 up already) for the first game of the season.

I'm running round the house getting my packing done. 8 freshly ironed CHERUB shirts, laptop, camera, mounds of underwear.

Now I've just got to find the $120 of Aussie money I had left over from my last trip down under. I hope they haven't changed the design of the notes since 2001!

I hope you have some long sleeved Cherub T-shirts packed- it's freezing here at the moment. Yes we do have cold winters in Australia and two weeks ago it snowed here!

Anyway have a good flight and see you in Oz soon. I can't wait.

I've just been to Australia for 3 weeks (i live in the uk) and it is quite cold in some places. For some reason i thoght i'd give you some info about australia. I has 6 out of 10 of the world's deadliest snakes, including the taipan(ithink the deadliest snake in the world), watch out redback spiders, funnelweb spiders, kangaroos running into your car (you should see the dents they make!), sea snakes, lotsa sharks, box jellyfish (the most deadly creature in the world according to bill bryson), portugese man o war jellyfish, freshwater crocodiles, the far more deadly saltwater crocodile ( if there isn't a fence between you and it, either you're dead, or it is!). There's more but i've forgotten. Can anyone else add anymore to my list?
Oh yeah, also thanks for releasing the book in Australia a month early, as my friends are begging me to lend it to them!

Hi Rob, just wanted to say HURRY UP! I'm volunteering at the Melbourne Writer's Festival and can't wait to hear you talk about the CHERUB series and maybe get some books signed.
I've been a huge fan since I discovered the books when I worked in a book shop and handsold them to heaps of very happy customers, so expect lots of people at your sessions!!

You'd better get plenty of photos!

Oh, BTW, isn't Ozzie money made of plastic? O.o

Left it a bit late didn't you? Most people pack about 7 weeks beforehand.

Yay, will be seeing you soon. Hope the flight is good. Be sure to take something to read, as you know, we live about 20 bazillion hours away from the UK.

Cheers,
Dilan

Cherub shirts, heck of a lot of under wear... I really advise you, DON'T FORGET YOUR TROUSERS. =P

We don't want you getting arrested for running round Auz in a shirt with a CHERUB and pic of a baby on it, and your boxers. I'm not sure the police will be so understanding. After you finished CHERUB? Go for it. :P

If you run out of plastic Aussie money they'll probably accept monopoly money as well. :P

Have a good flight and don't freak yourself out reading Sleepwalker on the plane.

I hate you Rob. Putting so much emphasis on Aussie and then in tiny writing NZ in minute writing down the bottom. ALSO, your Auckland gig is in the stupidest place that I'm never going to get to at 4 on a friday afternoon.

LOVE YOU ROB!

BAHAHAH, you have to go to Silvia park.

Why do they have you going to AUS, to NZ, and then back to AUS? That makes such little sense.

I live in Australia, and it is currently freezing. I suggest a heap of warm clothes, and i agree with sophie, didnt the idea of flying a plane scare you?
Anyway, have fun in Australia :D
